Story Time with Santa was a huge success!!!
We had over 100 attendees, including 69 children. Mrs. Knowles and Heather Snell were the coordinators of the event, and they are so excited that the revision of this classic event has been well received. The PTO thanks all the volunteers who showed up early and stayed late, without you this wouldn’t be possible. Many hands definitely make light work.
Highlights of the event:
Singing Christmas songs with Mrs. Knowles
2 books read by Santa
Visiting Santa and taking photos with him
Cookie decorating
Delicious hot cocoa
Ornament making
The toys that were generally donated by our community members have been delivered to the Parishville Fire Department and were greatly appreciated. There will be many happy kids on Christmas morning.
We hope you all have an amazing holiday!

A HUGE thank you to John Liebfred for coming out and not only being our special guest reader but also talking to the kids about what it means to be a firefighter. The kids got to see first hand what the fireman wear and what their equipment looks and sounds like. Thank you for educating the kiddos and making them feel comfortable in case of an emergency.
We also got to celebrate John’s birthday with cupcakes and juice that his wife Heather Liebfred donated for snack.
For the craft, the kids painted pumpkins donated by the Wendig family.
Thanks to all who helped and came out to make another Story Time Night success!!!
Story Time for Littles had a great turnout in September.
Our first reader was Ms. Taylor, the originator of Story Time For Tots who maintained that monthly event for years! She was a tremendous asset to our PHCS staff and served as an elementary special education teacher. She has contributed to building literacy in our community through so many events like Story Time for Tots (headed Book It Program, planned and implemented Read Across America Day, and so many more).
Thank you Parishville Center Orchard for the donation of apples. They made a wonderful snack! Because we had extra, we were able to provide Pre-K and Kindergarten with snack the following week.
